Nurses and Transforming Patient Safety

The Health Foundation in its latest publication Nursing a safer future: how nurses are using proactive approaches to manage patient safety says that improvement activity has relied on reactive approaches to safety management following harm to patients.  It believes that nurses must move towards a more proactive approach to safety management.
